OnePlus’s Nord was a big success, and the firm now hopes to expand on that success with the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. It stands for Core Edition since the phone seeks to provide a similar experience at a lesser cost. It even includes several improvements over its ostensibly more pricey brother.
The Snapdragon 750G CPU, a 6.43-inch 1080p AMOLED with 90Hz refresh, and OnePlus’ OxygenOS based on Android 11 power the OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
The design and construction of the Nord CE 5G are a major emphasis. The phone is the thinnest OnePlus since the 6T, with a thickness of only 7.9mm, according to OnePlus. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G keeps the 3.5mm headphone port, which will please audiophiles.
The Nord CE 5G is physically identical to its predecessor and has the same general form factor. The display has decreased by 0.1 inch, although this is a minor alteration that has no effect.
The primary camera’s 64MP f/1.8 sensor can merge four pixels into one for a 16MP 1.4m resolution. A 119-degree ultrawide 8MP sensor and a 2MP depth sensor are also included. A 16MP sensor is used in the selfie camera.
The battery is one of the most significant upgrades over the original OnePlus Nord 5G. It now has a capacity of 4,500mAh, up from 4,115mAh on the original Nord, but its 30W Dash 30T+ charging still fills 70 percent of that in 30 minutes.
The Nord CE 5G will be available in three configurations in Asia and Europe: 6/128GB for INR 22,999/€299, 8/128GB for INR 24,999/€329/£299, and the top-of-the-line 12/256GB for INR 27,999/€399/£369. Charcoal Ink, Silver Ray, and the gorgeous Blue Void will be available to buyers.
