Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G Specs, Price and unboxing review

In comparison to the vanilla A52 and the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, it may be called a new generation of the product, albeit there aren’t many additional features.

In March, the first two A52 versions were released, with the 5G model replacing the original’s Snapdragon 720G with a 5G-capable Snapdragon 750G and the 90Hz, 6.5 Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz one. While doing so, the two devices must remain physically similar.

Now, the Galaxy A52s 5G takes the Galaxy A52 5G and improves it even further by replacing the processor with an even stronger Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, thereby solving one of the original’s minor flaws – a somewhat weak chipset.

That’s all – a big performance boost and a few minor specifications upgrades thanks to the new chipset, like as Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, but it’s still the same phone. With less modifications than moving from a vanilla A52 to an A52 5G, perhaps.

  • Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, optical); 3.5mm jack.

That’s not to say we’re complaining, especially considering the Galaxy A52s 5G’s pricing has remained virtually constant. Plus, you’ll still receive a fantastic gadget with features like the 120Hz, 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display we stated before, a good quad camera system – the same as before, a lovely and young, fun shell with a rubber-like feel, pastel hues, and an IP67 classification.

Physically, the phone measures 159.9 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm and has a plastic yet robust frame with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. It’s even the same weight at 189 grams, which makes sense given the 4,500 mAh battery. Like previously, it can be charged at a rate of up to 25W, but this time you also receive a 25W charger in the package, which adds even more value to the Galaxy A52s 5G.

As a result, we’ve got our job cut out for us. You may refer to previous articles for criticism on design, software, and any other aspect that has been carried over unmodified to the A52s 5G, since we have already examined both the original Galaxy A52 and the A52 5G in depth.

We’ll re-test everything relating to the chipset now that it’s been switched, including performance, battery endurance, and charging. Even if the cameras stay the same, we’ll evaluate the camera performance as well, because a new chipset means a new and perhaps different DSP.

Unboxing Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Before we get into it, let’s take a brief look at the new box and its contents. The box itself is nothing spectacular – it’s just a two-piece cardboard box that’s robust and accomplishes the job it’s supposed to do.

With the exception of the bundled charger, the accessories package hasn’t altered significantly. In select regions, the Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 25W charger instead of the 15W charger that came with the A52 and A52 5G. However, you should verify with your specific merchant. So there’s a possible value-add extra there.

Aside from that and a short USB cord, there’s nothing else in the retail package. There’s no case or anything like that, which you may receive with other manufacturers’ cheap offerings. Even yet, it’s all a matter of perspective, as the much more costly Galaxy S21 series doesn’t even come with a charger.
